They've been building agency tooling for over a decade. White-label, multi-tenant, advanced billing splits. Our reseller programme has the basics but their breadth is genuinely deeper.
Larger global infra footprint
They run on Google Cloud with global presence. Kapsule's edge is global; origin is currently EU with Auckland Q3 2026.

Is the feature set really equivalent?
On Managed WordPress Start vs WP Engine Startup: yes, for the published feature list (lib/plans/features.ts is the gate truth). WP Engine Premium and Enterprise tiers add things we don't have yet (dedicated infra, custom contracts). Most customers don't need those.
How does $19 NZD work vs USD$25?
Kapsule's Managed WP product launched in 2026 with deliberately competitive pricing. WP Engine is a US-public-company with a different cost structure (S&M overhead, partner channel, marketing). We pass cost-plus-fair-margin to customers.
What about agency partner billing?
Honest answer: WP Engine's mature agency programme is deeper than ours. White-label, complex split billing, dedicated account managers for top partners. We have white-label and the basics; if your agency needs are advanced, evaluate against our reseller programme directly.
Can I do staging like I do on WP Engine?
Yes. Staging spin-up, push-to-prod, pull-from-prod, all via KPanel. Plus pre-push auto-rollback if a deploy breaks the site (which WP Engine has via NewRelic add-on; we have it built-in).
What if I have GeoIP/CDN requirements WP Engine handles?
Both platforms run on global infra. Their CDN is part of GeoIP-enabled WP Engine setup. Ours uses our edge network plus Premium DNS with geolocation routing. Functional parity for most use cases.
