Is the CDN included on every hosting plan?+
Yes. Every Web Hosting, Cloud Server, Cloud VPS, Dedicated Server, and Orbit plan includes Kapsule CDN. Toggle on per site in KPanel; live within a minute.
Can I use it without hosting on Kapsule?+
Yes. Point Kapsule CDN at any HTTPS origin (your AWS bucket, your VPS at another host, your existing on-prem). Standalone CDN seats are billed per bandwidth used.
How much bandwidth is included?+
Web Start: 100 GB/mo. Cloud Pro: 500 GB/mo. Cloud Scale: 1.5 TB/mo. Cloud Power: 3 TB/mo. Standalone CDN: $0.05/GB after first 50 GB. DDoS traffic is never counted; only legitimate visitor bandwidth.
What about cache control?+
Per-file-type TTLs (CSS / JS / images can each have different settings). Per-path overrides. Honour origin Cache-Control headers if you prefer. Smart invalidation: only re-fetch what actually changed.
Instant cache purge, really?+
Yes. Hit Purge in KPanel or call the API; propagation completes across all PoPs within seconds. No throttling, no per-purge billing.
What does image optimisation do exactly?+
On request: auto-convert to WebP for browsers that support it, resize based on srcset hints, quality-tune based on viewport. Your origin keeps one source image; visitors get the right size and format for their device.
Is HTTP/3 + QUIC really on by default?+
Yes. TLS 1.3 termination at the closest edge. HTTP/3 advertised in Alt-Svc; QUIC for clients that support it. HTTP/2 fallback for older clients. You don't configure anything.
Where are the NZ edges?+
Auckland and Sydney. NZ visitors typically resolve to Auckland; Sydney serves as failover and Australian traffic. p50 NZ TTFB hovers around 50-90ms on most sites.
