Dedicated Servers

The whole box.
No sharing.

Physical CPU cores you don't share. ECC RAM, NVMe Gen4 storage, root access. For high-traffic apps, big databases, or anything that's outgrown a VPS.

Who picks bare metal

When you need the whole machine.

Six common reasons teams move from VPS to dedicated. If you're here, you probably already know why.

High-traffic ecommerce

Black Friday loads, peak-season storefronts, anything that breaks shared CPU plans.

Examples

WooCommerce, Magento, custom Laravel/Node stores

Big database

PostgreSQL with serious replication, ClickHouse for analytics, anything that needs the disk to itself.

Examples

PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, MariaDB

Regulated workloads

Single-tenant hardware for PCI / HIPAA-equivalent compliance. No noisy neighbours.

Examples

Payment processing, health data, GDPR-strict apps

Hypervisor host

Run your own Proxmox / ESXi / KVM cluster on hardware you actually control.

Examples

Proxmox, ESXi, KVM, plain libvirt

Self-hosted SaaS

Replace a $4k/month managed-SaaS bill with hardware you own at $649. Real customer migration story.

Examples

Anything you used to host on Cloudways / managed SaaS

Heavy compute

CPU-bound rendering, batch processing, ML inference. No burst-credit gotchas.

Examples

Render farms, batch pipelines, ML inference servers

Not sure dedicated is right?

Physical isolation

The whole box. No tenants, no noisy neighbours.

Real dedicated CPU cores you don't share. ECC RAM in every tier. NVMe Gen4 storage you don't share. The box arrives in your account with the cores reserved.

  • Real dedicated physical CPU cores
  • ECC RAM standard, not an upsell
  • NVMe Gen4 storage on every tier
  • Single-tenant: no hypervisor overhead, no neighbour spikes

Physical isolation

No shared scheduling, no burst credits

Memory

Single bit-flips caught and corrected

Storage

Mirrored, sustained write throughput

Network

10 Gbps available as an add-on

KPanel + full root

Panel for the common stuff. Root for everything else.

KPanel handles app installs, automatic SSL, backups, firewall, monitoring. Root SSH access for anything KPanel doesn't do. Install a hypervisor if you want; the box is yours.

  • One-click app installers from KPanel
  • Full root SSH, sudo, systemd
  • IPMI access for bare-metal recovery
  • API for provisioning, snapshots, reinstalls

Two ways in

Full systemd, custom kernels, anything you want

IPMI

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a Dedicated Server and Cloud VPS?+

Cloud VPS shares the underlying hardware between multiple customers (with strict isolation between VMs). A Dedicated Server is the whole physical box: you get every core, every gigabyte of RAM, every megabyte of disk to yourself. No hypervisor overhead, no neighbour spikes. Worth it once you need the consistency.

How long does provisioning take?+

Bedrock, Granite, and Titan provision in minutes from a pool we keep on hot standby. Fortress (custom build) provisions within 48 hours; you pick CPU / RAM / disk / NIC, we rack it and email you the credentials.

Can I install a hypervisor?+

Yes. Run Proxmox, ESXi, KVM, libvirt, or anything you want. The box is yours; install what you need.

Do I get IPMI / out-of-band access?+

Yes. IPMI is available on every Dedicated Server for recovery, BIOS access, and remote console. Useful when you break grub at 2am.

What about backups?+

KPanel handles application-level backups (daily, 30 day retention). For block-level, we offer a paid backup tier ($15/mo) that snapshots the whole disk weekly + daily incrementals.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. 30-day money-back on Bedrock/Granite/Titan. After that, cancel per the current billing cycle, no fees. Fortress builds are tied to the custom hardware investment; contact us for cancellation terms.
